By accidint, or luck if you will, I uncovered this gem on Soundcloud. I recall the original being released back in 1988. I didn’t like it. In fact I loathed it. But somehow the years have worked wonders (or I’m a bit more broad minded when it comes to music here in 2012).
Ray went and slowed it a tad down, and now it fits nicely in a set anno 2012. Magic!
You can purchase Teardrops and a host of other rad edits that Ray did right here. It’s just $ 3 for the whole deal.

Hmm Hmm Taste Of Sugar

Belgium has always played a vital part when it comes to comics and electronic music. Why it is like that I have no idea. This track first hit my earwaves in 1988 on Danish National Radio P3, where Kim Schumacher gave it a spin. I was instantly hooked on it’s infectious and naughty nature. Kick it like it’s 1999, or even better, 1988 boys and shemales!

The Joint Mix

Posted on 17 September 2011 by admin

From 1985 and forward a new term rocked the music bizz: MEGAMIX. Basically it would be a DJ/Producer sat in the studio editing tape reels and create seamless mixes consiting of current hot tunes and references to late 70′ies early 80′ies Disco.
One of the seminal examples being: THE JOINT MIX by Tolga Flim Flam Balkan, hailing from Germany. Behold the power of Megamix from 1988!
